Out Into the Mind

Doom disappears
Through the crimson abyss
Out into the mind
Moon disappears
Through collapsing waves
Rise into the mind

We Are All That We Know
03:28
|
|||
We are matter and energy, and phases in between
We advance and retreat, and fall astray
We take form and divide, and split in two
We are two in one, less than and equal to
We are more than this, and more in time
We make the time and try, to keep in time
We stop the clock then let it flow, and never slow
We are all that we know, all that we can ever know
We send for you, no matter who or what
We make room for you, and set a place for you
We prepare for you, accept you as you are
We take you and I and you, and they and everyone
We are more than this, and more in time
We make the time and try, to keep in time
We stop the clock then let it flow, and never slow
We are all that we know, all that we can ever know, in time
We are all that we know
All that we can ever know
We are spirits that die, and mortals that live
We are the mind inside the brain, never again the same
We are the eyes and ears and nose and mouth and skin
We are all the same, no less than the rest

Always Never
03:17
|
|||
Not the ones who live here
Not the ones who died
Not the ones that move without thinking
Not the when, but the who
Not the then, but the now
Not the ones that think without moving
But the ones who accept
Everything, Who enter it
And who allow it to enter them
Who see without looking
Speak without talking
Who feel without ever touching
Never knowing
The great unknown
Always dying and always reborn
Never knowing the great unknown
Not another geography
Not a place on the map
But the life and times of the people
Not the lies of the fables
Not the liar at work
But the truth of the dreams that let us see
Not the stories unstable
Not the way that they kill
But the people dying for them
Not the insects, not the fire
Not the howling wind
But the flood that becomes the truth in time
Never knowing
The great unknown
Always dying and always reborn
Never knowing the great unknown

Starve a Rat
02:51
|
|||
Starve a rat, bury your trash
Travel far, behold a whale
Read a book, dye your lips
Grow old, circle words you love
Plant a garden, between the storms
Never stop writing, until it ends
Unsubscribe to media
Contemplate food and where it’s from
Love people who speak your name with love
Brush your hair and braid it long
Plant a garden, between the storms
Never stop writing, until it ends
Sleep outside, next to trees
Transcend, brew good beer
Breathe water, play the drums
Dance at dusk, paint in pink
Plant a garden, between the storms
Never stop writing, until it ends
Save animals from human teeth
Run for office in your hometown
Live outside the house you live in
Break bread within your head
Plant a garden, between the storms
Never stop writing, until it ends

Hymn of Hugag
03:58
|
|||
So many misfortunes wrought upon the world
Mainly by the troublesome, yet useful, species of creatures
Raised up by the ancient trees of the deepest woods
Never succumbing to the shackles of our systems of restraint
Illuminated beings living adventurous desperate existences
Extolled in stories carried and repeated from cave to cave
Passing from the shade of the sequoias to the shore of the bay
To the boats and the rivers and the wayward trails
Rumors about the old species approaches extinction
And with them the nightmares of the frightful imaginations
Bizarre wardens of the darkest woods, now hardly remembered
Resembling the miraculous monster of forgotten lore
An enormous titan slumbering beneath the still waters of the lake
Horrifying in its sheer immensity and girth, a leviathan
Its maw, toothsome and gaping, terrifying to ponder
Its eyes both dark and dull yet full of seeping menace
Still, something is there, something prehistoric, a shadow
Curious, reaching out, resisting, with long, spindly limbs
Compelling the creature upward, on to the shore, awkward
Swaying forward, losing balance, lumbering to the edge of the trees
Upon the world
Species of creatures
Deepest woods
Never succumbing
Desperate existence
From cave to cave
Stories improved
Passing from the shade
Wayward trails
Approaches extinction
Frightful imaginations
Now hardly remembered
Forgotten lore
Slumbering beneath
A leviathan
Toothsome and gaping
Dark and dull
Something is there
Reaching out
Onto the shore
Swaying forward

Proprietary

|

Three times we saw
Twice the skin as before
The kitchen crammed into
A world of hoots and hollers
Unbuttoning and tumbling
Lightyears on a string
Particular and vast
No delusion, no self-pity
Loving all things rare
Phenomenal observation
No malice and no fear
The virtue in the sin
The naming of the other
Remembering the human
The swooning of the flesh
Dancing heads and strutting
Twice as eager eyes
Swimming in the moon dream
A vivid trance that writhes
Around the wound inviting

Fisticuffs of Autumn
02:12
|
|||
The leaves are leaving
The cold is getting colder
The old are getting older
Fisticuffs of Autumn
This will not pass so easily
Bruises that no one can see
Except for me and me and me
No one can see except for me
Ascend and descend
Again, again and again
Ascend and descend
Again and again into the end

Nail
02:04
|
|||
There's a nail lying on the ground
Tread and tread and tread upon
Nail stood up, the boot meets pain
Never, ever, lay down again
Stand Up Nails
Stand up
Nails Stand Up
Stand up
Dead lying down on the ground
Broken down, and tread upon
Dead stood up, the truth seen plain
The body won’t die, for you, again
Stand Up Dead
Stand up
Dead Stand Up
Stand up
There's a nail lying on the ground
Tread and tread and tread upon
Nail stood up, the boot meets pain
Never, ever, lay down again

Misery Whip
02:35
|
|||
Nothing wishful, This sharpness
Unfriendly, All himself
Nothing bolder, This meanness
Who he is, Useless
The noise of silence, The people calling
Shine a spotlight, On the mechanics
Making it, This sickness
Here it is, No mystery
Tantamount, To perjury
Equal to, A killing spree
Killing dreams, Killing trees
Killing us, Killing them
The noise of silence, The people calling
Shine a spotlight, On the mechanics
Making it, This sickness
Here it is, No mystery
Nothing noble, No wonder
Side by side, This misery
Nothing noble, No wonder
Side by side, This misery

Crowd Control
07:04

Enough hatred
Enough violence
Enough lying
On an any given day
Killers preach against murder
Hateful preach against hate
Warriors preach against war
On every single day
The ones preaching for love, do not have love
The ones preaching for peace, do not have peace
Enough preaching
Enough knowing
Enough lying
On any given day
Takers against taking
Thinkers against thinking
Lovers against loving
On every single day
The ones seeking crowds, are nothing by themselves
The ones seeking love, do not love themselves
Unable to love in full
They believe you fail to love
They hate you for your love
A perfect hatred for your love
Enough average
Enough “genius”
Enough killing
On any given day
Different against difference
Artists against art
Makers against making
On every single day
The ones preaching for love, do not know love
The ones preaching for peace, do not have peace
Enough preaching
Enough knowing
Enough lying
On any given day
Takers against taking
Thinkers against thinking
Lovers against loving
On every single day
The ones seeking crowds, are nothing by themselves
The ones seeking love, do not love themselves
Unable to love in full
They believe you fail to love
They hate you for your love
A perfect hatred for your love
Hate you for your love
Perfect hate for your love
They’re crying out for love
Crying out
Their hatred
Like diamonds
Like falling stars
Like knives
Like mountains
Like waterfalls
Like swords
Like teeth
Their hatred
Like burning flames
Like freezing rains
Like blisters
Like boils
Like peeling skin
Like crushing bones
Like crying out
Their hatred
Like ashes
Their hatred
Like dust
Their art
Crying out
Their art
Crying out
